Ulhas Valley via Kondana

A Trek planned specifically for Nature Knights Veterans and their family and friends.

Duration - One Day
Location - KARJAT - ULHAS VALLEY - KONDANA PLATEAU
Trek Difficulty Grade - Easy (total distance up and down - 6 KM, 90 minutes one way)


Experiences

Easy grade hill trek, around 90 minutes one way at an easy pace. The trek will have good greenery, some uphill climbs, plenty of waterfalls, flowing streams, some medium grade slopes (yes you will have to tackle the slipery moss as you negotiate through the rocky patches and flowing streams). 

We will be having Village Breakfast and Village Lunch at Kondivita Village.

TRAVEL BUDGET:

Self-Drive (Manage your own cost).

Car pool (we will see if we can pool with someone for car pool), Contribution with the car pool owner Rs.900/- per person.

Group Transport (Optional): If we have sufficient no's we will organize.

Planned schedule:


9:30 am - Kondivital (Base village of Kondana Caves)
Induction / Introduction at the base village with breakfast 
10:30 am Trek to Kondana Caves to Ulhas Valley
Hill Climb / Waterfall Dhamal
01:00 pm Return Trek
02:30 / 03:00 pm Back at Kondivita Village for Late Village Lunch
04:30 pm Start return journey after lunch


Checklist for Participants


Attire


Track pants or tights or any comfortable clothes (avoid heavy jeans) Full sleeves T-shirt, (you may carry spare change clothes), light towel  

Rainwear (Poncho, or Short Raincoat), Rain Cap or Hat, Hand Towel
also, carry a small folding umbrella it helps along with other rainwear 

In-Between Snack (Food) - we will be having late lunch so carry some bites for the trek.


Carry personal snacks for in-between food bites (fruits, biscuits, chocolate, Thepla's, Boiled eggs; paratha's, etc).
Water - carry a minimum of 2 liters of water per head (Carry in personal Pet Bottles, avoid single-use or disposable mineral water bottles).

Other items and guidelines:

Small Flashlight.

Pack all items in plastic bags before packing it in your backpack or rucksack pack everything in your backpack properly.
