Travel Plan for those travelling by Metro-Train-Cab (I am travelling by Train)
Meeting Points and timings.
2:10 pm - Versova Metro Station
3:00 pm - Ghatkopar Railway Station (We take local train for Neral) - Central Line. - we will be boarding train scheduled 3:36 pm from Ghatkopar, this train reaches Neral by 4:53 pm (around 5pm)
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm - Neral Station near ticket counter (near toy train station).
Take Share cab for Dasturi naka from Neral
6:30 pm - Dasturi Naka

Travel Plan for members travelling by own cars.
Meet us at Dasturi Naka - Target reaching there before 5:30 pm
6:00 pm - Dasturi Naka (sitting place near Matheran Entry Ticket Counter)
6:40 pm - Walk from Dasturi Naka to Matheran Market over mini-train railway tracks.
8:00 pm to 9:00 pm - Dinner at Matheran Market
9:00 pm to 02:30 am - Night Trek with lot of breaks, exploring that will reach Charlotte Lake and then back to Dasturi Naka.
(Return Route for train travelers)
3:30 am - (tentative time) Dasturi Naka to Neral (Cabs)
4:15 am - (tentative time) take train for Ghatkopar
6:00 am - Take metro from Ghatkopar to Versova
6:30 am - Expected back in Mumbai...
Contribution for Trek.
Rs.250/- per person only. (To be paid in advance)
Rs.250/- includes
Entry fee at Matheran
Chai and Biscuit or Vada);
and admin overhead.
Any kind of trek lead or organising overheads is complimentary.
Excludes: (extra cost)
Any kind of travel cost.
Travel by your own car / car pool;

Share Taxi fare
Meals/beverages at Matheran: Dinner or any other meals at Matheran (pay as per whatever you order)

DOS AND DON'TS FOR THE TREK
We follow Eco-Tourism Policy (Take only memories and leave only footsteps - no littering policy; we take back whatever we carry with us.)
Alcohol / Drugs not allowed on this trek
Smoking (avoid smoking during meal time with the group/ group activities);
Checklist for (What to carry?)
FLASH LIGHTS WITH BACKUP BATTERIES; Mobile phone tourch will not work.
Attire: Track pants or comfortable toursers; T-shirt; Cap; Trekking Shoe or Tough Sports shoe (don't wear GYM shoe) or canvas shoes
Carry a spare t-shirt
Carry Waterbottle (2 Liters per head; you can carry one litter and refill the same bottle when we take a tea/samosa break at Matheran).
Hand Sanitizer
Mosquito Repellent
Carry all your stuff in Backpack
Carry packed snacks like fruits / sweets / dry fruits etc
Snack pack (Suggestions: Fruits; Salad Items; Dry Fruits; Biscuits; Boiled Eggs; Thepla; etc).
Power Bank for your cell phones.
Carry all your stuff in a proper backpack.
